Prairie road

One from the summer. As the cold sets in it's nice to remember the warm, dry days of Southern Saskatchewan.

Flower bed

Between work, allergies (which are killing me this year) and the Toronto International Film Festival, for which I'm working red carpets - I have been a little neglectful with my posts. Here's an image I found from my weekend in Quebec in August.

A new detail you may see is that I am now using a watermark in my photos. It is very subtle, so as not to disturb the photo, but I feel it is important to protect the work. If you have thoughts on watermarking, I'd be interested to hear your views. Hope to be back to you soon but it may be a few more days before I post again (keep checking back!).

Air Show

A couple pics from the Canadian International Air Show. This is a quick post, as I filter through all the shots I'll probably add more. The show continues tomorrow, if you're in Toronto check it out.

Montreal escape hatch

Finally, back with a post. I've been a little neglectful, I admit. Just a little distracted from the summer warmth and activities. However I have been snapping while away, so I am accumulating a lot of fodder for this blog. A good thing. And I do intend to get my posting schedule back in shape.

On another note, I've realized that this exercise of posting pics online has forced me to think about digital media storage and organization. I have recently begun a new system of saving the pics I put on this site, which I hope will prove to be more effective. Though I don't have complete faith that in two months I won't be shaking my head and wondering why, WHY I didn't catalogue the images differently. If anyone has suggestions for media storage, let me know. I haven't invested in a DB system just yet... but if I ever become more sophisticated, i.e. launch, custom program (and pay for) a real web URL, I may want it to be DB driven, no?

Happy Hula Hoopers!

I shot this down at the Harbourfront on Saturday. Someone posted a sign that read: Today is national hula hoop day. There were hoops everywhere for the taking. I tried my hips at it too (no I am not in this photo) I think I may have found my new favourite sport though.

Btw, if anyone knows who organized this event, please let me know. I'd like to get my hands on one of these "professional" hoops.
