I had forgotten how meditative photography is, it makes me see more of what is around me. Today I enjoyed having my camera with me and testing the sharpness of my new lens. Here's a shot from the parking lot at Keele subway.

We Love

Last night we headed to Teranga (159 Augusta Ave., Toronto) to catch We Love release their EP. Here are some pics from the show. I was testing out my brand new Sony Carl Zeiss DT 3.5-4.5/16-80mm lens. So far I'm happy (which is a good thing, because this was a very impulsive purchase!) I want to test it out in more optimal lighting conditions. Stay tuned.

This is fun. I'm sifting through old photos that I've had no venue for until now. I shot this with my 90mm macro lens when I was testing out my camera's sharpness. Not bad with this lens, though not too happy with my other one. I guess I'll have to expand the inventory at some point.

So here it is, my first post. Having been inspired by other such blogs, I decided it was time to start my own. My goal is to post a new photo every day. Simply for the discipline of shooting on a regular basis. For now I think I'll stick to random pics, maybe once I get into it I'll try using themes... we'll see. What's in a name? Not much, most of the names I wanted were already taken but I guess each pic is made up of dots.. so I'm hoping this will eventually be filled with dots, lots of 'em.

I shot this at CaseCamp last Tuesday. The Century Room on King St. was a great venue, huge windows provided excellent light, and I love the dark wood floor.
